Corgarff Castle
Corgarff Castle is a striking 16th-century fortress located in the picturesque Aberdeenshire region of Scotland. Set against the backdrop of the rolling hills and rugged landscapes of the Cairngorms, the castle's distinctive round towers and fortified walls make it a captivating subject for photographers.
Photographers can capture the castle from various angles, with the surrounding countryside providing a dramatic setting. The best light for photography is during the golden hour, either at sunrise or sunset, when the warm hues enhance the stone structure. The changing seasons also offer diverse photographic opportunities, from the vibrant greens of summer to the stark beauty of winter.
Photography notes:
- Arrive early to secure the best viewpoints and avoid crowds.
- Consider using a wide-angle lens to capture the full scale of the castle and its surroundings.
- Bring a tripod for long exposure shots, especially during low light conditions.
